Reinhardt Ehlis establishes in Barcelona a business representing German hardware products.
1929
His son Hans Ehlis transforms the representation business into an import company.
1961
Pedro Ehlis begins a restructuring of the company, devoting all efforts exclusively to serving the hardware retailer.
1988
Cadena 88 is created, a hardware purchasing and service central.
2001
Celebration of ExpoCadena, the first business fair for Cadena 88 associates.
2006
Alejandro and Ignacio Ehlis take over company management, becoming the fourth generation of the family business.
2019
Development of the online sales platform and digital services of Cadena 88.
2021
Construction begins on a new 60,000 m² logistics center in Illescas (Toledo).
2022
We exceed more than 1,500 points of sale.
